Months and Months of experience and work have culminated into this letter. I spent all of the summer commuting daily with the protestors. I worked hard, stayed humble, and listened to black leadership. After serious thinking, I turn to them the same advice my mother gave to me. I was able to read this at Uprising Sun on Feb 4th.
In Shanghai, I meet a Kansas City ex-pat who starts his own BBQ business. It’s fantastic and I write a review for the two excellent meals I had there.
Unsurprisingly, no 4th of July celebrations in China. Still the Holiday is one of my favorites, Beer, BBQ, Fireworks, and America. I take some time to be grateful for what isn’t in America, and very apparent in China, and share those thoughts with you. Happy Fourth!
I call these reading Journeys Against the Echo Chamber as I try to honestly approach a book from a perspective I would never agree with. Turns out, pretty garbage book. 0.0/5. Bad writing, bad arguments, bad namecalling. I wouldn’t recommend reading it unless you’d also like to see the roots of the current political climate stemming from the anti-Obama rhetoric.
I love this country, and importantly I understand the idea of loving America first. But America First cannot forget what America is. I'll try to reconcile my immense pride in this country with the it's recent un-American actions.
