Run (New Shoes!)

First run in the inserts and new shoes! Felt great, really chugged along for 8 miles. Explored some new part of the neighborhood, including Lucili's (sp?) that actually had the line around the block an hour before it opened. Front of the line was there 4:15 so, note to self.

I could feel the change after 4 miles that settled me down from the early run jitters. Around mile 6-7-8 it changed again to, not painful, but a lower state.

My idea is to work this in 6 mile sections. The end state is 24m. THe long run is 18ish. The work is to get to 12m long runs without much issue. Be able to push 18 on a given week. Also work in bike->run. I think if I can get the full 60m bike into 6ish miles, I should be 100% for half Iron.

Lets also add nutrition into the long runs. See how that affects my energy systems.

Also break in each pair with 3-4 runs each. Then figure out the more comfortable pair to race in. I liked the Grey on the right. The Olive on left was fine too.

Cheers, this looks good. Bike is coming next week. I want to get in 1 swim, 1 lift, 1 run, 1 yoga this week. Prob combine. Prob run just 6.
