5+1

5 miles of running and 1 mile of walking. I wanted to get something in before having the 2/3 days off, so I started with the idea of a run to, around, and back from Prospect park, about 10 miles. Seemed like a reasonable distance for a wednesday. But as I started, about two miles, my left outer knee caused me to stumble and stop. It had hurt a bit during the run but one minor step twist had really run me aground. I gave up, and stretched and walked back, trying to jog twice. The first time was still bad news bearcats, but the second felt okay and I ended up lightly running about another 3 miles without much issue.

Still though, good move to stick to the no injury commitment. There's two opportunities for long distances this weekend, the race and the volunteer event. Hopefully both plus either a swim or a stretch lift.
