Some thoughts during the last week or two of New York, and how leaving is difficult in so many ways, but that’s just a blessing. And the adventures before me are even bigger blessings.
I was blessed with a chance to share some poetry with a few classes in the Universal Daroff Charter School in Philly on March 1st. I wanted to share some of my experiences and how much the schools were great.
Apply my New Years Resolution hasn’t been easy, but it’s been rewarding. I’ve grown to love committing to excellent behaviors and how that’s let me learn from excellent experiences and people. It’s a habit I’m continuing to build and hone to reach new heights.
A bit about what my cultural experiences have been, a blend of Asian and whiteness that are apparent to all that know me; and how those experiences will shape how I approach the cultural experiences in front of me
We become the things we tell ourselves, and that’s fascinating. It’s a wondrous and awesome responsibility to tell ourselves good, if not the best of stories to reach our highest potentials. To take risks. To try things that challenge us and make us grow. I’m seeking bigger adventures, a journey I’m excited to depart.
A Highlight reading from the Fresh Cuts: Year of the Pig Open Mic. I truly hope that you are working on your things, and that you realize the reason I work so hard on Show+Tell is to give my friends space to showcase their arts. It’s been a blessing to see them progress, and I’m grateful I can be a part of their journeys.

It’s been a long journey and I’m so grateful for how many wonderful experiences I’ve had. I still seek more, in unique and rare experiences, trying to awe at as many things as possible. This world is enormous, and I would like be in it. You should do what makes you happy, that’s what I’m trying to do.
Sexuality is such an easy insult to level but such a difficult personal journey to parse. Our sexual preferences change, grow, and challenge us in a reflection of our own path for self. Just a little personal piece on my process.
I had a conversation with Nick Pollifrone about Toxic Masculinity and society today on his podcast Typed Out, which can be found on Spotify or Apple Podcast [link in the blog]
I wanted to do a quick postmortem and highlight some thoughts I had listening back to the episode!
A experimental long form poem, short vignette. Something about This dirty city and it’s fertile soil, against the highs and lows of it’s turmoil.
I hope you like it!
