Stretch

Man I haven’t had a great work out in a long while, like 3-5 lifts. But this felt great. You know why? I ate well; breakfast, two small lunches, all vegetarian. And I warmed up a lot. Arm swings, active stretching. loosening hips and ankles and knees. And warm up sets (5xbar, 5x95, 5x135 squat, 10xbar, 6x95 for bench). All of that meant I got my heart rate up a little, warmed up all my joints and muscles, and transitioned from sitting all day to activity. It made the lift super enjoyable and fun. It let me lift more. Small note, my knees cracked and hurt during the warm up squats. Sitting so long has really done terrible things to my body. I actually wouldn’t be surprised if it had a negative effect on my lifts and why all my maxes are much worse, especially squat.

Whatever. It was awesome to get in. I want to stretch and sleep more. And I’m done with vegetarian after tomorrow.
