Wind, Surf, Sunsets, and Running

It wasn't as cold as my other runs, but the wind was fierce at points. I pull out the facemask and the gloves and they did a great job in protecting my extremities. I really really need new shoes, so I'll be spending some time looking for Jack Rabbit deals and a bit of time to stop by their store.

6 miles, nothing too hard, though I started really fast to warm myself up. I got to that nice glide shuffle after about 65% of my run, then pushed that form in the last 300 yards. It felt good except the blistering via the shitty shoes.

Going to get back to add increasing distance runs, Going to get a bike. Then sign up fro a few races. 1 tri, 1 run, preferably in the half distance.

I ran through the entire twilight hour, starting just as the clouds were turning orange, into the city lights shining bright. I saw some amazing colors, including the clouds, the brownstones reflecting the red sunset, all the rainbow against the bridges. Every sunset with the long horizon cloud remind me of that Hopper. The long lines. The bright colors. So nice. Bless that I can run by this whenever I want.
