Through the pouring thunderstorm, lots of lightning, whipping rain. The water in the river was grey and choppy. The skyline came in and out of the thick clouds. The paths were at times, completely underwater. The sky cracked angrily and I could only think of the white whale. The witches that beckon us into the storms, not because we have nothing to fear, but because the taste of fear is sweet and learned.
I loved it. I saw the storm come in, dump buckets, and clear. I saw gallons streams off the roofs and gutters and bridges. It was exhilarating and I felt great. 8 miles, nice and easy.
